ABOUT KALIE
Kalie is part of a slate of candidates that want to help West U

To Kalie, West U truly is home. She moved here with her family in 1992, and has 19 years of residency in the city of West University Place. She spent many years playing West U Softball and Soccer, and she even swam on the West U Swim Team for a couple of summers. Her winter birthday parties were held under “the bubble” at Colonial Park Pool, and hours after school were spent rollerblading West U streets with friends. Kalie went to school at West University Elementary School, River Oaks Elementary School, Duchesne Academy, St. Vincent de Paul School, and graduated from Lamar High School. Her family attended West University Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church.
As a stay-at-home mother, Kalie's days are spent caring for her two year old son and six year old daughter, who is a student at West University Elementary School. She is at the Rec Center multiple afternoons every week while her children enjoy swimming lessons and dance classes. Her weekends are spent at our wonderful parks and the Colonial Park Pool, and Kalie's daughter is following her footsteps by playing West U Softball.
Before dedicating herself to her role as a stay-at-home mom, she worked for Rice University as a Project Manager and for Accenture as a Business Consultant. Kalie graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Economics and History. She loves art and design, and has always been interested in architecture and historical preservation. Kalie has lived in three “old stock” West U homes - a 1932 bungalow still standing on University Boulevard, a painted brick colonial on Brompton Road, and currently, a 1939 colonial revival on Wroxton Road.
Kalie was part of the West University Place Centennial Committee, tasked with helping the city commemorate its 100th year, and she has also completed the West U Citizen’s Academy program.
